Home of Tomorrow Shortlisting

September 2014

Silvester Fuller’s Future Home concept has been shortlisted in the Sydney Living Museums – Home of Tomorrow Competition. Our idea identifies affordability as the primary typology driver for future housing. We bent the competition rules a little by proposing an alternative to the requested single house on a typical suburban block… and instead proposed an alternate land use model, combining compact housing with generous shared amenity.

You can view all the shortlisted teams and vote in the People’s Choice Award for both the Professional and Student Category by visiting Sydney Living Museums or click here. Voting closes on 13th October 2014.

Year End - Work In Progress

December 2013

The end of 2013 has seen Silvester Fuller finalise several design concepts for a number of public and multi-residential projects. We’re excited to share more about these projects in the new year as they move through the planning stages. Attached is an early look at one of our concepts for a new church centre on the outskirts of Sydney. The concept aims to fuse design cues taken from the existing building with a design language drawn from the direct functionality of the new building.

Barangaroo R1 - Competition Entry

August 2013

Silvester Fuller recently participated in an invited design competition organised by Lend Lease to submit an idea for a new destination restaurant at Barangaroo on Sydney Harbour.

Our concept proposed a sequence of shaped layers, driven by view, privacy, sun and wind protection. The building is experienced in-the-round whilst functioning as a terrace to the harbour. The ceiling surfaces present as canvases for the speculative tenant to integrate within their interior concept.
