	DACA Photoshoot December 2011 Just in time for Christmas the weather cleared and we had a wonderful day down in Dapto to photograph DACA with Martin van der Wal. The church community has completed the majority of the landscaping works with just a few areas left to complete (planting out around the water storage tanks and existing adjoining buildings). The building is now fully operational and drawing a steady flow of curious locals. Thanks again to Martin van der Wal for a great day shooting.

	Silvester Fuller Island Resort Concept November 2011 A couple of months ago we were commissioned to conceptualise a new luxury resort concept for an entire island. The concept explored different strategies for over-water and land-based villas. Big thank you to the guys at Doug & Wolf for their visualisation work.

Jad Silvester

Born in Sydney, Australia in 1976, Jad studied at both the University of Tasmania and the University of Technology Sydney. Jad commenced practice in Renzo Piano’s Sydney studio working on the Lend Lease developed Aurora Place project and following this joined the Italy studio where he worked in the design team on two museum projects in USA.

In 2004 Jad moved to Basel, Switzerland to take up a position as Project Architect with Herzog & de Meuron. During this time he led project teams on the concept and schematic design for a number of significant international projects.

Penny Fuller

Penny Fuller

Born in Canberra in 1973, Penny studied architecture at the University of Canberra with a stint in Paris at Ecole d’architecture de Paris-Val-de-Marne.

Upon graduation Penny worked on Renzo Piano’s Aurora Place with the partner architect, Group GSA. In 2002 Penny joined Engelenmoore. During her 3 years with the practice she worked on and led a number of projects in Australia, ranging from single residential up to a 40 storey multi residential tower. In 2005 Penny joined Foster + Partners in London. During this time she worked as an Associate leading design teams on the development of large scale projects, with budgets up to $450M.

DACA OPEN!

DACA officially opened to a packed auditorium over the weekend. The initial community response has been very encouraging with a number of community groups keen to utilise the new spaces.

With final touches to the building and landscaping to be completed over the next couple of weeks, the venue will be fully operational early next month.
